Recently, our medical hotline team received a call for help at around 1am . It was referred by a geriatrician and asked to transfer an 80 years-old elderly, a former professor at Queen Mary Hospital who was suspected of suffering from Aspiration Pneumonia, from The Tanner Hill in North Point to the #HKSH_Hospital.
However, Hong Kong St. John’s emergency service and ambulances can only escort the patient to the nearest emergency department.
Hence, Insta Medical Escort Team arrived the scene about the same time as Hong Kong St. John’s team and has safely escorted the elderly to HKSH Hospital.
